5 Thoughts on Parkway’s approach to project management

As a small agency, Parkway’s approach to project management hasn’t always been structured. But as we’ve grown, ensuring everyone—including our team, our clients and our partners—is on the same page is essential. Over the last year, we’ve put real thought into how we manage it all, striving for a system that works no matter who’s managing a project or requesting clients’ feedback.

Here’s what we’ve learned:
01

Communication is Key

We already knew this, but it’s always worth mentioning: communication is essential to great project management.

02

Quality Project Management Can Make or Break You

Keeping track of the details is so important, not just as a small team but because we’re a small team. Add in how fast digital marketing moves, and there are a lot of opportunities for things to go sideways. Defining and refining our approach to project management over the last year has been an opportunity to outline and document the tasks that are unique to each of our team members and clients, ensuring they all run as smoothly as possible.

03

Every Client is Unique

One of the things that sets Parkway apart is how tailored our solutions are to each of our clients’ specific needs. This makes every single client’s project management needs specific too. While we have processes, we’re not afraid to modify them to make them work for a new situation.

04

Every Team Member Works Differently

Not only does each member of the Parkway team have skills that set them apart, but they also have preferred methods of communication and different working styles. Our approach to project management is designed to keep everyone organized in ways that work for them while keeping Parkway operating as efficiently as possible for our clients.

05

Teamwork Benefits Everyone

It’s cheesy but it’s true: teamwork makes the dream work. While we each have our own specialties, we do our best to lighten each other’s loads when we can. This approach allows us to move effectively and efficiently, moving tasks that don’t require someone’s specific expertise to another’s plate when it makes sense for us and our clients.
