Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House

Modernizing an iconic landmark’s online presence

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House is one of Buffalo’s most beloved attractions. However, with a decades-long, multimillion-dollar restoration coming to an end, the Martin House’s old website wasn’t reflective of the landmark’s rebirth.

The Project
Rebuilding a website for a restored Martin House

To connect with visitors from all over the world, the Martin House’s website needed a facelift as thoughtful as the landmark’s restoration. The new website had to work for every user, including guests, volunteers, educators, donors and staff. Parkway’s goal was to create a platform where you could learn about the property, purchase tickets and merchandise, find volunteer opportunities and make donations—all in one place.

Our Approach
Collaborating for a multipurpose user experience

We began by touring the Martin House and its stunning surroundings for inspiration. Our design incorporates these elements, along with beautiful original imagery and the Martin House’s well-known branding.

The organization’s new website includes a responsive design, ecommerce capabilities, ADA compliance and translation to dozens of languages—all on a user-friendly CMS that’s easy for internal staff to use. Of course, Parkway provides ongoing web support as needed for a seamless user experience.
