Parkway wins best website at the BETAS

This year, InfoTech WNY celebrates 20 years of promoting technology through networking, education and career enrichment. Their annual award show, the BETAS, honors organizations and individuals setting the standard for technological innovation in the Buffalo Niagara region. At this milestone BETAS, Parkway was named the winner of the Best Website category. It was our work with the Buffalo Museum of Science that landed us this distinction!

The Parkway team was also named a finalist for Tech Culture of the Year. As a new member of InfoTech WNY, these accolades are especially exciting! We were in great company among the other nominees in both categories.

The website we created for the Buffalo Museum of Science is one of our favorites from the last year as well. With a major organizational overhaul, our focus for this redesign was on functionality. The finished site really has it all. Updated plugins and automations help the museum staff work more efficiently. Website visitors looking for exhibits and events are able to find what they’re looking for with just a click or two.

Winning awards for our work is always an exciting experience. However, it’s the data gathered by the Buffalo Museum of Science’s new website that is the most rewarding. Users spend an average of 30 seconds longer on the new website. They visit 6% more pages, which led to a 12% reduction in bounce rate over the last six months. With the most important information presented front and center, we know users are finding what they need. That’s what really makes us smile!

We are so grateful to accept this award and would like to say thank you to InfoTech WNY for bestowing us the honor. The Parkway team would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Buffalo Museum of Science for allowing us the opportunity to work on this awesome project.
