Since yearly recaps are so much fun for us to read, we make sure to share Parkway’s own year in review every December. Let’s just say that 2022 was definitely a year for the books!
We started the year off working from home to keep our team healthy. While working remotely, we launched our first website of the new year for Stephens & Holman—a law firm based in British Columbia! We continue to partner with the firm with a tailored SEO and search ad strategy that points people to the new website.
February in Buffalo means too much snow, warm sweaters and the Super Bowl. For our content strategist, Taylor, February also meant getting the keys to her first home.
March means it’s time for our AAF chapter’s American Advertising Awards. The Parkway team always attends the event together and this year, we received three silver awards! This is always a good opportunity to reflect on how thankful we are for our clients and proud we are of the work our team does.
We also welcomed Tyler to the Parkway team as a senior designer in March. Tyler has proven to be a hugely talented addition to Parkway and also has a quiet sense of humor we all appreciate.
In April, we began working with The Travel Team, a longtime client, to execute an exciting new multi-channel strategy that includes SEO, social media and email marketing!
May was a pretty quiet, productive month for the team! We focused on projects and prepared for warmer weather to make its way to Western New York.
The start of summer meant time for team bonding! In other words, Parkway started playing recreational volleyball once a week. Though most of us aren’t super familiar with the game or overly competitive, it was a great way to stay connected outside of the office and enjoy the warmer weather!
July was an exciting month for the content team! We finished the second-floor renovations in our Lancaster office and our copywriters moved in. Not only is it a workspace for the content team, but there is also a full kitchen, a “Zoom Room,” and a team meeting space. Oh, and plants. There are lots and lots of plants.
An exciting website also went live during July! Parkway launched a new digital footprint for Vision Financial Group—a local team that provides guidance and support as families and businesses move toward their financial goals. We loved this opportunity to create a brand voice, website copy and design, and a brand launch campaign strategy for these financial professionals.
August was filled with exciting, personal moments for some members of the content team. Parkway’s leader of all things content, Taylor, got married in the Finger Lakes on a perfect summer day. She had a lovely outdoor ceremony followed by a beautiful barn wedding reception. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
The content team also grew (a lot) during the month of August! Jenni, who had been working part-time as a copywriter, switched to full-time hours—and took on the self-appointed role of Team Bonding Manager after our successful volleyball season. Summer joined the content team this month as well. She fits right in with the other quirky, passionate personalities on the content team!
When Parkway officially moved to the Lancaster area last year, we looked forward to connecting with local organizations, including the Lancaster Opera House. We worked with the theater company to create a responsive logo and launch a brand new website as they kicked off the 2022-2023 season in September!
Parkway Thursdays also began in the fall of 2022! This year, we knew we needed to set aside a few hours each week to make sure Parkway is moving in the right direction. Over the last few months, we’ve taken some time every Thursday to focus on Parkway!
Aryn joined Parkway as our part-time, in-house photographer and support for the design team… and she started her month at Parkway off with a bang! She brought in a jack o’lantern and everyone at Parkway posed for a fun photoshoot with the pumpkin on their head.
Two of Parkway’s team members moved into their first homes during the month of October! David, our content marketing specialist, and Tyler, our senior designer, became homeowners this fall and are excited to spend the holidays in their first homes.
The World’s Largest Disco ticketing system went live in November and Chris, Rob and Taylor got to experience the big event first-hand—all done up in their 70s best, of course! The team also dressed up the office with holiday decorations and gave the front window a wintery makeover.
We made it through 2022 and ended a great year with a website launch (of course). TechBuffalo’s website went live in December and we are so proud of all the hard work our team put in!
We ended the year with some Secret Santa excitement! It was a great way to connect and get to know more about the interests of our team.
